Images in Articles

I'm wondering if everyone could offer their opinion on whether to include images with all articles or just on selected articles? Do they add or detract from the earnings potentials of articles? If they are important, where should they be placed for optimum results? Thanks for helping me out:)

In my opinion:

Images always contribute positively to your traffic and earning potential. I recommend placing images larger than 300px wide, yet no wider than 600px wide (they will be automatically resized to meet the maximum) in your articles.

When you place images, they should come after your first paragraph, and ideally they will not touch the first AdSense ad on the right side or on the bottom edge of that ad. In other words, there should be at least a paragraph or two of text before inserting an image for the best flow of text and content.

Finally, if you have access to very interesting images or eye catching pictures, use them! Images like this can help you achieve "viral traffic" from sites like Digg or Stumbleupon, or even Reddit. People love visuals. Give them what they want!

Thanks, Tyler! I thought images were a good idea but was unsure about where to put them in the articles.
