I do enjoy TopicSpotter very much. Haven't been as active as I'd like to be but it's only temporary so I'll be around more soon. So far, I love the layout, the writing platform and how easy it is to navigate the site. I also love how much control you've taken of the site and that you own up to your duties as the admin, we just don't see that much or nearly enough. Maybe others will follow your lead or maybe not and more power to all of us.

The site is building nicely, maybe not quite as quickly I thought it would but that's because so many of the writers are over at the sister site I think. I don't know why I never really started well over there but this is where I'll be, just as soon as I can get pumping.

Hugs,
Elaine

I am enjoying it and will continue to add content to the site when I have the time. Both Seekyt and TopicSpotter are well worth the effort and great sites to write for.

By the way, congratulations on achieving page rank 3 which I just noticed today!

I love the opportunities provided by TopicSpotter and Seekyt, but I think a big part of the success here is your personal touch and commitment to excellence, Tyler. Many other sites talk about a commitment to quality, but you can tell by reading the posts on the sites that they are not "walking" the talk. Good job on building these writing platforms for all of us!

You have a good number of articles, so I'm sure you will start earning money in no time! Just focus your efforts on SEO and on generating buzz around your content and you will start to earn rapidly.

Unlike other websites (HubPages, Infobarrel), Seekyt and TopicSpotter don't have the huge audiences or instant authority to get traffic right away. However, it doesn't take too much effort, and the more you do to support yourself and your own content, the more it benefits everyone on the entire website because our authority increases significantly. Over time, you will need fewer and fewer backlinks and time spent on SEO to see the reward :)

I am getting used to the category part. I do have a question, Admin- since I enjoy writing about products that people want to buy/learn about, should all that go under Shopping?

The garden trellis article I wrote had me stumped because it is a product, yet has to do with gardening/ landscaping. Which would you prefer?

As far as earnings, I have made over $3 dollars with $1.09 coming in today! I have less than 20 articles and a couple are those nobody-would-ever-search-for-those-keyword type articles :)

I recommend putting your product review articles in the category that matches the product. In other words, I think you should pick "gardening" for your category instead of shopping.

If you were writing an article about the five best stores to purchase garden trellis, that might be a good fit for shopping because it specifically relates to it.

Either way, the choice is yours :)

Things could get very interesting category-wise for the person who writes one about kids shopping for diabetic socks for Grandpa while sitting in the garden on eco-friendly sheets using a refurbished laptop...he he
